Jill GreenbergFemininity, Feminism and My Work

A prominent fashion photographer in New York City for over 25 years, Paul Lange’s work has been featured in such publications as Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Mademoiselle, Bazaar, Elle, British Vogue and The New York Times, amongst others. Celebrity portraits range from Halle Berry, Uma Thurman, Tyra Banks, Liv Tyler, and Natalie Portman to Hillary Clinton, Oprah, and Ralph Lauren. Advertising clients included L’Oreal, Cover Girl, Estee Lauder, Revlon, Christian Dior, Bergdorf Goodman and Polo Ralph Lauren.
He is currently at work on three major photographic projects: a studio portrait series of foster children awaiting adoption in New York state, a “Blue” series based on intensive study of light and reflections on water and a nature project in the Hudson Valley at the garden estate of New York City florist, Zezé.
Paul has been exhibiting his work in galleries throughout the Northeast since 2007 and his photographs are in private collections nationwide.
In his Iris Nights lecture, Paul will speak about the importance of light in his work and how visual ideas connect to a bigger story, illustrated with images taken from throughout his career.
