Born in Hollywood, California, Randall Slavin struck up a friendship with the owner of a local photography studio. It was at that studio where he learned the basics of photography. Slavin's photography debuted in the New York Times Magazine and his work has appeared in GQ, Esquire, Rolling Stone and many others. He had his first exhibit in Paris in 2008.
This lecture is a personal, in-depth and behind the scenes tour of the images in Slavin's exhibit The Making of 24 Portraits.

Charlize Theron has been praised for performances in films such as The Devil's Advocate, The Italian Job, The Cider House Rules and North Country as well as Monster, for which she received a Best Actress Academy Award. Theron serves as a United Nations Messenger of Peace and launched the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in 2007 with the aid of the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
Theron will introduce Slavin and re-join the discussion during the Q&A portion of the presentation.
