We are deeply saddened by the passing of legendary photographer
Julius Shulman. He was an artistic genius and a great inspiration to
generations of photographers. His work captivated the public with
elegance and originality. It was an honor and a pleasure to show his
work in “L8S ANG3LES,” the inaugural exhibit
of the Annenberg Space for Photography.

Having Julius grace our Space with his humor and lifetime of experience
- as we opened our doors for the first time - was truly a gift to all of us.

We are incredibly thankful that he lent his tremendous talents
and amazing images to the collection, and that we were able to
witness his enthusiasm for photography and his enduring spirit.
